Find A Speaker

This form will allow you to immediately put in a personalized request to find a speaker. Within 24 hours, you will get a response from Dallin or his team with tailored recommendations for your event. Your email isn’t added to any list. There is no cost for you or even any of the recommended speakers. In an industry full of middlemen, this is just a simple way to learn about the industry and some options with no strings attached. If you’d like to know more about how the process works, you can find more information further down this page.

How Does Finding A Speaker Work?

There are a TONS of places to find speakers for your event. Job boards, speaker bureaus, agencies, and even a few large directories. On most of them, you’ll fill out a form like the one above, and then receive pitches or proposals that you can choose from. Whatever you pay the speaker, a portion of that fee will go to whoever’s form you filled out. Bureaus and directories build relationships with speakers in hopes of providing more events for them at higher rates, and receiving higher commissions for it. Bureaus get paid more because they do the searching for you. Directories get paid less because you still have to search through all the profiles yourself, they’re just in one place!

All in all, it’s a pretty decent system where the middlemen vet the speakers and you don’t have to go pouring through every individual speaker website to separate the mediocre from the magnificent.

    Find a Speaker

You could always take the time to comb through 20,000 speakers yourself! Doesn’t that sound fun?

    Why Is This Different?

Unlike almost any other middleman “find a speaker” form you’ll find out there, I’m not getting paid. I (Dallin Cooper, the owner of this website) am a speaker myself. I make my living keynoting conferences and doing corporate events, not from connecting speakers to clients. Over the years, I’ve worked with many clients that needed a speaker on a specific topic, with a unique skillset, or that had a particular background. As much as I’d love to be a match for every client, I’m not, and in those instances I’ve been able to introduce them to colleagues that I know and trust. The client (you) gets the speaker they need, I get to help someone out, and it gives me an excuse to keeping making deeper and better connections in the industry.

It’s a win-win-win, and I don’t have any financial incentive skewing my recommendations. I don’t get paid by the speakers I introduce you to, so I don’t have any ulterior motives except trying to make your event excellent.

    So What’s The Catch?

You may be wondering what’s in it for me if I don’t get paid. Well, it’s pretty simple. You found this page that was specifically designed for people looking to hire a speaker. And if you’re looking for a speaker to address leadership, communication, or conflict resolution skills, perhaps for an annual conference, or sales kick-off, or leadership retreat, then I’m going to recommend myself. And if you hire me, I do get paid. This is simply a service I can offer free of charge to provide value to you upfront in hopes that we can work together now or in the future.

But even if I’m not a fit for an event, I get to introduce you to someone else who is a perfect fit. I’m a big fan of the classic Zig Ziglar quote “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” You leave happy, the other speaker leaves happy. The next time that speaker needs to refer someone, maybe they’ll think of me. Maybe you’ll think of me for a future opportunity. And if you don’t and nothing ever comes from it, well then, I can sleep easy at night knowing that I helped some people along the way.
